cloud provider

This inspector retrieves specific cloud provider data from a client that is installed on a machine hosted on a cloud provider. You can deactivate the inspector by setting _BESClient_Inspector_DisableCloudProvider to 1. In this case, the output of the inspector calls will be cloud provider inspector is disabled. The supported cloud providers are:

Amazon Web Services
Google Cloud Platform
Microsoft Azure
VMWare Cloud

Note: Up to BigFix Platform 10.0.8, Amazon Web Services metadata are retrieved using Amazon IMDSv1 protocol. Starting from BigFix Platform 10.0.9, Amazon Web Services metadata are retrieved using Amazon IMDSv2 protocol.

Returns the instance metadata of the virtual machine as an object that can be queried using the JSON inspector. If the client machine is not a VM, or if the cloud provider is not supported, the returned object represents an empty JSON document.
